One of the world’s most valuable prefabricated structures, one that spent over fifty years in Africa, has been disassembled and sent to Queens. The Maison Tropicale, designed in 1951 by Jean ProuvĂ©, goes on auction at Christie’s on June 5. According to the NYT, the estimated seeling price right now lies between $4 and $6 million.
