Marmol Radziner to Target Lower Price Point

Curbed LA is reporting that Marmol Radziner, a preeminent prefab producer, is seeking to target a lower price point than their current one which is about $400/sq. ft.  The blog reports that the new price point will be between 20-25% cheaper than what is currently on offer.

Warmboard Radiant Heat Subfloor

Warmboard is a product that is going into a lot of new homes, both prefab and conventionally built.  The product integrates subfloor and a radiant heating system that allows builders to put down any hardwood, carpet, or tile flooring that they wish, in a way that they normally would.  The product has won accolades from green building enthusiasts as it significantly reduces the difficulty of installing radiant heating, a system that generally saves a considerable amount of energy when compared to forced air systems.

Marmol Radziner featured in New York Times Magazine

Marmol Radziner and Associates was featured in today’s New York Times Magazine.  Though not specific to their prefab work, the article tells a fascinating story of when Ron Radziner purchased a teardown of a house with a double lot nearby to his existing home and then went to work designing and building a masterpiece.
